Corning Rainbow's joint venture LCD glass substrate back-end processing plant officially puts into operation

On December 18, Corning and Rainbow Display Co., Ltd., with the support of the Chengdu Municipal Government, their joint venture LCD glass substrate rear-end processing plant in Shuangliu District, Chengdu, officially started production today.

Chengdu Hongning Display Glass Co., Ltd. (Chengdu Hongning) will supply 8.6 generation and above LCD glass substrates for Chengdu CEC Panda Display Technology Co., Ltd. and other panel manufacturers.

Corning and China Electronics Information Industry Group Co., Ltd. have been cooperating as early as 2010, when China Electronics was launching its first 6-generation LCD panel production line in Nanjing.
