2. What is Samsung Display's outlook for the Chinese display market in 18 years? What are the plans?
The overall display market has stagnated in recent years, but products that can provide consumers with other values u200bu200bsuch as differentiated appearance, large-scale, high refresh rate, high pixels, and wide screen are continuing to grow. In particular, the demand of Chinese consumers is stronger, and the eyes of Chinese consumers are increasingly high-end. Under such an environment, the total volume of the Chinese market may maintain the current level, but large-scale and other high-value-added products will continue to grow. Samsung Display will focus on these products and will lead the market for products with high value to consumers.
3. The e-sports display market is relatively active recently, how does Samsung Display respond to the market?
Recently, as the configuration requirements of computer graphics cards have increased, the requirements for 144Hz gaming monitors are also very powerful.
Among them, 'PUBG Mobile' plays a very important role. Nowadays, the configuration required by consumers is getting higher and higher, but because the price of dedicated gaming monitors is too high, it has not become popular. Samsung Display cooperates with various complete machine manufacturers and is committed to a market environment where users can easily access products with high refresh rates.
Starting from this year, consumers will be more easily exposed to the curved 144Hz display in the form of Internet cafes or self-purchase. It is our goal to allow more consumers to enjoy e-sports under better configurations such as 144Hz.
4. What are the characteristics of the curved 144Hz using Samsung panel?
There are many types of 144Hz displays. The previous situation was that 144Hz displays with TN panels monopolized the market. Since 2017, Samsung Display has invested a lot of resources to develop a curved 144Hz panel (Super Vertical Alignment) without light leakage and speckles for the production of high-quality display products. Most of the curved displays currently on the market are using Samsung panels.
