Q2 Taiwan LCD TV shipments soared by 15.9%

At the same time, the proportion of Taiwanese manufacturers’ TV shipments of size 50 and above in total shipments increased by 10% in the second quarter, while the ratio of 4K models to total shipments reached By 40%.

Although Japanese customers accounted for the largest share of Taiwan’s TV exports in the second quarter, when Taiwan’s TV manufacturer’s largest customer Vizio will begin to clear inventory and update orders to meet peak season demand in the second half of 2018, North America and Shipments in the European market may soar.

In terms of the ranking of Taiwanese TV manufacturers, TPV Technology and Foxconn Electronics continued to be the top two manufacturers in the second quarter, but their combined ratio with Taiwan’s total TV shipments has fallen to 80% the following.
