Driven by the increased shipments of Vizio and Amazon (Fire TV), the North American market has once again become the largest export market for Taiwan’s TV shipments.
In terms of TV size, shipments of TVs over 50 inches will account for 40% of Taiwan’s total TV shipments in the fourth quarter, and large-size 4K ultra-high-definition models will also account for total shipments. About 50% of the amount.
In 2018, Japanese brand owners will become the largest customer in the Taiwanese TV market. In terms of supplier rankings, TPV Technolog and Foxconn Electronics still ranked the top two in the third quarter, but the combined total shipments of the two manufacturers accounted for the total shipments of Taiwan’s TVs. The proportion dropped to below 70% in the third quarter and is expected to continue to decline in the fourth quarter.
